What to do in Cabo San Lucas with Kids
Long known as the Adults Playground, Los Cabos has grown up over the years. Now you’ll find a wide variety activities for Kids in Cabo. Whether you’re looking for free parks and playgrounds, or the opportunity to give your kids the ride of their life, Los Cabos has something for you.
With such a variety of kids activities, Cabo San Lucas is a kids paradise. A chance to stay outdoors and enjoy all the fresh air that Los Cabos has to offer, creates life long memories of all the activities for kids in Cabo.
Beaches
There are a huge number of beaches in the area, although many are not the best for swimming. Kids will manage to find a wide variety of activities to entertain them on just about any sandy beach. We have to be aware of our surrounding and during the Summer months in particular, the beaches in Cabo San Lucas are prone to large swells and rogue waves.
Gorgeous kid friendly beaches like Balandra, Cabo Bello, Chileno Bay and Medano Beach keep the kids entertained, while you get a chance to relax. Tule has some great Tide Pools for the smaller kids, as does the beach near Hacienda del Mar, making sure kids of all ages are catered for.
With a range of activities to participate in on the beach, including kayak, SUP, and beach combing, kids will be sure enjoy their day out.
Stroll around the Marina
When looking for Activities for Kids in Cabo, you can’t go past a walk around the Marina. The Cabo San Lucas Marina is very busy, from early morning to evening, with a variety of boats of all sizes coming and going.
A quiet stroll along the edge will often offer a glimpse at fish, birds, crabs and rays near the edge. We regularly have our famous Sea Lion “Pancho“ swimming around, or one of the many other local Sea Lions. We’ve even seen Marlin swimming in the Marina!!
Check out the Giant Marlin Statue, plus a variety of other statues sprinkled around. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, plus the kids will surely enjoy to movement of boats around the Marina.
Activities for Kids in Cabo
In the past few years, the big name activity companies have stepped up to the plate. Many now offer a great variety of activities just for kids and of course a great variety of activities for the whole family.
Kids ATV Tours
One of our many partners now offers a fantastic kids ATV tour, where the kids are able to drive their very own RAZOR vehicle. The tour is designed for kids 10yo and up, with and 8yo able to ride along as a passenger.
This tour offers the opportunity for the Parents to head off and do their own ATV or Razor Tour, knowing their kids are well taken care of in their special activities for kids. They will also e shown the animals in the Herpetarium.
Sunset & Snorkel Tours
We have a couple of Pirate Sunset Tours and Pirate Snorkeling tours aimed at the enjoyment of kids (old and young). There are 2 Pirate ships offering Snorkeling and Sunset Cruises. These cruises give the kids an opportunity to dress up as Pirates and enjoy the fun aboard an old wooden ship.
Our Pirate Ships are fun for all ages, with the younger kids having a blast running around our Cabo Pirate ships and interacting with our Cabo Pirates!
Kids Dolphin Programs
Both programs offer the opportunity to learn about these amazing creatures, with time to interact with them.
Ride a Camel in Cabo
Our Camel Rides offer a great deal of information about the Camels and give the children a chance to get up close and personal with these creatures… Apart from that, they’re so much fun.
Kids will love getting introduced to their Cabo Camels and having the opportunity to pet and ride these friendly animals.
Surf Lessons
Los Cabos offers a wide variety of surf options all year round. Our summer swells typically com from the south, while the winter swells typically come from the north.
An excellent option to keep the kids active and entertained in Cabo would be our Surf Lessons. We have a wide variety of lessons availabel for surfers of all ages and abilitites.
